The Young Leader Programme gives young people aged 14–18 the chance to develop leadership skills while supporting younger sections in Scouting. As Explorer Scouts, Young Leaders volunteer alongside adult leaders in Squirrels, Beavers, Cubs, or Scouts, helping to plan and deliver fun, safe, and engaging activities.
Through hands‑on experience, training modules, and practical challenges, Young Leaders build confidence, teamwork, and communication skills while giving back to their community. The programme also supports top awards such as the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award and Chief Scout’s Awards, making it a rewarding and valuable step in their Scouting journey.
